We are currently looking at hosting have a go session on Sunday the 22nd May 14:00 to 18:00 (usual Sunday outdoor shooting times ish) at Wilton Fields. This is part of the Archery GB “Start Archery Week”. For this to happen we need to make sure we have members that are available to help out. This involves getting the public shooting and talking to them about archery. We know this is a couple of months away but we need to make sure we have enough volunteers for this to happen as we need to start organising this shortly. This is a good opportunity for the club to promote archery to new people. Wilton Fields is a great venue for the club as it has a high foot fall as many private events are held there. The last time club hosted an “Archery GB Big Weekend” although we did not get many new members it was felt by most members that it brought the club together. This is something the club needs after the last two years. “Help us Grimsby Archers, You’re our only hope”.
