New 252 Badges

One of the most rewarding and fun aspects of archery is setting goals and then achieving them.

Traditionally Grimsby Archers have operated a 200 badge scheme and this appears to be unique to our club.

Where archers try and achieve a score of 200 or over at each yardage in 3 dozen arrows, its quite easy at the lower yardages and most people can get to 50 yards without too much trouble.

There is a more popular and widely recognised 252 badge scheme, more challenging than the 200 scheme for obvious reasons.

Where archers try and achieve a score of 252 or over at each yardage in 3 dozen arrows.

There is a higher target score for “compounds” 280, and for longbow 164 and barebow 189.

  1. What happens if you shoot multiple types of bows?
Do you only get one badge or a duplicate for a different bow type 🤔
